Chesnee sits in the far northeast corner of Spartanburg County along SC-11, the Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway, with a small slice of the city actually crossing into neighboring Cherokee County. It's peach country up here — Strawberry Hill USA's roadside market on Hwy 11 is a well-known local landmark — and the area has a rural, farm-and-orchard character.
